E-TENDER REGISTRATION
E-tender registration refers to the
process through which businesses or individuals sign up and create profiles on
electronic platforms designated for tendering purposes. This involves providing
necessary information such as company details, contact information, legal
documentation, and sometimes financial credentials. E-tender registration
enables participants to access and bid on tenders electronically, ensuring
transparency, efficiency, and broader participation in procurement processes
governed by digital platforms and regulations. E-tendering has become an
integral part of modern procurement systems, especially in government and
large-scale corporate sectors, where it reduces paperwork and minimises human
intervention. It promotes fair competition by allowing equal access to tender
opportunities for all eligible vendors, regardless of their geographical
location. The process also enhances accountability and reduces the risks of
corruption or favouritism by maintaining a digital trail of all transactions
and submissions. Once registered, bidders can receive notifications about new
tenders, download bid documents, submit proposals, and track tender status
online. In India, platforms such as the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and the
Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP) facilitate e-tender registration and
bidding for various public sector projects.
